Hi,

whe are looking for a backup solution for a NT - Server
with ASE(20-40GB).

Is there a client for ARCSERVE IT for this database.

Or what backup solution should we use.

Hi Christian

Do you found the backup solution for Sybase-NT, if afirmative your
answer, can you pls say whay is a solution.
At moment, I use dump databse of sybase, but I need create automatic
process for that.

Yes there is an ARCSERVE Agent for Sybase.

Sybase backup server itself has always worked very well for me. Depends on
the window, but 2 or 3 striped DLTs will dump that in short order. My
preference is always to dump to disk and then stream off to tape, since
this means I always have the most recent backup to immediate hand.
However, 40Gs might be a *little* too big for this luxury.
