Hello all,
I am running an e-commerce web-site and want to be able to read info
from one database and insert it into another database, is this possible? If
so, where can I find some documentation on how to perform this.

Thanks in advance,
Jerry R. Ford

Just use fully-qualified table names (ie <dbname>.<owner>.<tablename>)
(note that need not be specified if it is yourself or dbo):

-- if you are in the database containing mytable:
insert mytable select * from otherdatabase.dbo.tablename

or, if you are in the other database

insert firstdatabase..mytable select * from tablename

or, what will work from anywhere:

insert firstdatabase..mytable select * from otherdatabase..tablename
