My software runs fine when I connect to Sybase 11 on HP but if I change the
data source to point to NT the connect fails.
Do I need the Open Gateway? What about using ODBC?

Thanks.

Bill-

If you are running SQL Anywhere on NT, you need to run the Open Server
Gateway (dbos50) because SQL Anywhere does not support TDS (tabular data
stream) directly. However, if you are running SQL Server for NT, you
should be able to connect in the same manner you would for HP.

If you want an ODBC interface, I've been doing development with the
JDBC-ODBC bridge from Sun (jdk1.1)--but deploying to jConnect with
OpenServer for SQL Anywhere Pro. If you need ODBC right away, I'd give it
a try. It's not the fastest, but it's functional.
