This posting has been resent to correct for major typo - sorry about this.

Applet works fine using AppletViewer, JDK1.0.2 on NT Workstation 4.0 - It
successfully connects to a remote Sybase System 10 server via the cascade
http server, executes a statement, pulls off data from several result sets,
and eventually exits via

if (statement != null) {
statement.close();
statement = null;
}

if (connection != null) {
connection.close();
connection = null;
}

When the applet is run through IE3.01, everthing works fine until closing,
when

statement.close();

throws a java.lang.NumberFormatException, and the connection is left
permanently high and dry on the Sybase Server. Any suggestions or work
arounds?

Thanks

This problem has disappeared since I installed the latest jConnect
download. The previous JDBC classes were about 4 weeks old.

Please send a stack trace
catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); }
of the problem. I do not understand how a NumberFormatException
could come out of this operation.
