It is my understanding that TDS transmission used in JConnect is not
secure.

If I use the JConnect Proxy Gateway and HTTP Tunneled TDS between the
client and the WebServer, can I secure the transmission using the SSL
feature in MS Internet Information Server?

Any help in understanding this issue would be greatly appreciated!!!

TDS is a proprietary application level protocol however there is nothing
in there to make it secure.

Right now jConnect does not support Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Sybase
is looking at this issue and how it could be implemented and it more
than likely will be supported in a future release. However, there are
no dates on this yet.
