I need a secure connection from the client to the database.
Does jConnect support encryption in any form? If no, is it
going to be supported in a future release?

Thanks
JR

Right now jConnect does not support encryption. It communicates to the
SQL Server using TDS which is a proprietary application level protocol
however there is nothing in there to make it secure.

Sybase is looking at this issue and how it could be implemented and it
more
than likely will be supported in a future release. It may be that
jConnect will support Secure Socket Layer (SSL). However, there are no
dates on this yet.
