My basic applet issues a couple of queries and fills the data in a third
party list control. (multilist from symantec)
The applet works with Netscape 3.0. It also works with IE 3.02 if it is
running on the same machine as the web server. However, when I try to use
ie 3.02 from any other machine it would fail. I would only see an empty
list control inside the web browser.
Applet, jdk102, symantec vcafe, ms information server, SQLAnywhere
database, and JConnect, MS ie 3.02.
The web server (msiis) and the sqlanywhere database were on the same box
(NT srv 4.0).
%JDBC_HOME% ==> d:\jconnect\classes
I created an alias 'jtest' for d:\jconnect\classes. I turned on both
read and execute rights for 'jtest'.
I placed the applet in %JDBC_HOME%\classes (d:\jconnect\classes) and
use'd:\jconnect\classes' as the codebase for the applet tag.
As far as I can tell I've done everything that's required for a zero
client installation as Lance suggested.

your codebase should be the webserver alias name to %JDBC_HOME\classes,
not the actual path.
