After installing open client 11.1 (EBF7398) on windows nt 4.0 I can no
longer connect to the database. I needed to install this because of a bug
in earlier versions of open client that cause an api error message when
disconnecting the trasaction object in power++.

Now when I try to connect I get the message:

"SQLDriverConnect returned SQL_ERROR

State 08001 Native Code 0
[INTERSOLV][ODBC SQL Server driver]Allocation of a Sybase Open Client
Context failed. Sybase normally generates a SYBINIT.ERR file contianing
more specific reasons for failing."

I am using the Sybase System 11 (Version 10.0.3T4) Intersolv ODBC driver.
(Also, no sybinit.err file is created.)

Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks,

Gene

Hi Gene

I have seen this problem before. I corrected this problem by looking for
a word
"eng" in my win.ini file and changing it to "enu"
