I am writing to you about the problem on connection between PowerBuilder
5.0 and MS SQL Server 6.5 via Database Painter in PowerBuilder 5.0.
When I tried to connect to a database, the connection was successful. And
I used "sa" to connect. But when I tried to retrieve data from system
tables or newly created tables. An error message was displayed to me. It
is "<Column-name>'s data type is not supported". I checked that the
database repository tables were created already.

I'm not sure but I think there' s a problem with the 'identity' column
type of MS SQL Server and Pb. You can't even get the data displayed if
you use quick select when creating a datawindow.
If you have a identity column you should be very careful, since
'identity' is the most buggy part of the MS SQL Server. You should check
the identity (I don't know the exact command) even in your application.
