HI, and thanks for your attention.

While migrating data from sql anywhere 5.X to Sybase 11.02 (MS-NT 3.5) I
could not bcp
in a table containing an image column (anywhere column is long binary).
bcp in of a binary column (anywhere is binary as well) worked fine. This
table will be hereby named B.
While trying to determine the cause, I made the following experiment:
1) create aux. table identical to B, but with image column instead of
binary.
2) 'insert select' from B to Baux (worked fine, implicit conversion
binary->image)
3) truncate Baux.
4) 'bcp out -c' from B to some file
5) 'bcp in -c' to Baux from same file - DOES NOT WORK (Explicit conversion
from int to image not supported).
6) 'insert select' from B to Baux (again, to fill Baux)
7) 'bcp out -c' from Baux to some file
8) 'bcp in -c' to Baux from same file - DOES NOT WORK (again, Explicit
conversion from int to image not supported).

My questions are
how do I migrate this column ?
how do I simply bcp out and then in an image column ?
Thank you so much !!

-T is probably not the issue.
There is some progress, and right now using Open Server GW for SQlAnywhere,
I manged to bcp out all the data except for the spec. image columns.
To be specific, The command:

C:\SYBASE\BIN> bcp eci.ne_tb out \temp\ne_tb.out -Udba -Psql -SOSGW

results in:

Server Message: OSGW - Msg -73, Level 0, State 0:
communication buffer underflow
CTLIB Message: - L0/O0/S0/N0/0/0:
blk_init(): blk layer: CT library error: Failed when CT_Lib routine
ct_results() called. blk_init failed.

Any Idea ?
