I have noticed that when a write file grows to a size of about 120,000 to
150,000 kb, it starts to crash whenever a procedure or table script
created. Error is Assertion failed: 201126: Attempt to allocate page
1df004 beyond end of dbspace 1dedd2 ...

Is there something that I can do to prevent this from occuring?

Unable to see this. Have you validated your write file?

No. What I usually do is to just re-create the write file and the error
disappears. But what does this error mean? corrupted write file?

I seem to recall a bug fix about this but I can't find a trace of it
off-hand. If you have a reproducible, please submit it to tech support.

I seem to have fixed the problem. What I did was to pre-allocate about 1Gb
of space (using alter dbspace command) on the write file. I re-run the
same transaction that used to cause the Assertion Error and voila! it went
through.

Any insights on this?

Thanks,
ubag

The only insight I can offer is that if you send your reproducible case
to tech support, I'll fix the problem for you (and everyone else who
uses writefiles) :)

You shouldn't need to pre-grow your write file.
