Hello all,

I'm trying to access an ASE 12.5.3 database from Visual Studio 2005
using C#. On the client side I am running the 12.5.4 drivers. The code
looks like this:

string connStr;
connStr = @"Provider=ASEOLEDB;Server Name=server,port;Initial
Catalog=dbname;User Id=userid;Password=password;";
OleDbConnection myConnection = new OleDbConnection(connStr);
myConnection.Open();

The program blows up when I hit myConnection.Open() with the error:

No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002
(E_NOINTERFACE))

Does anyone know what this means? I confirmed that I have the dll on
my system called sybdrvoledb.dll.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

You may want to try reposting your issue in one of the sybase.public.connectivity.* newsgroups (eg,
sybase.public.connectivity.oledb).
