I am a Sybase beginner and have been given the task of migrating
a Sybase database from UNIX to NT. I am using Sybase ASA
with Win NT 4.0.

A DDL script was generated on the UNIX box. I ran this script
on Win NT, but received numerous errors, for example when the
script came across the stored proc. "sp_addalias" I received
the below error:

Could not execute statement
ASA Error -611: Transact-SQL feature not supported

I also received the above error when the script came across the
stored proc. "sp_primarykey".

The above two stored procs. exist, but they call the stored proc.
"sp_tsql_feature_not_supported" which displays the above mentioned
message.

I am at a loss on what to try next, any thoughts would be greatly
appreciated :)

What version of Sybase are you running on the Unix box? I would hazzard a
guess that it is ASE and _not_ ASA. The primary key message can be safely
ignored. It is only documentation on ASE. As for the alias, I am not
quite sure *how* ASA handles user accounts, but there will be a different
means of implementing the same feature on ASA, only it looks like it might
not be 100% straightforward or is not necessary.

Thanks for your response, the UNIX box is running ASE 11.5.
