Hi,

I have downloaded Iconnect and I am trying to run the isql applet.
Unfortunatly I get some errors (see output isql applet and output
httpd.bat). Also the Validate program gives some errors (see output
Validate). I think the errors are similar but I don't know how.

I read some old news items which address these errors and I have tried
to follow the suggestions, but until now no succes.

Any ideas?

Kind regards
Michiel

I got similar error messages when I tried today but when I connected to my
own databaseserver localy it worked fine (but VERY slow connect the first
time). Maybe there is a problem with the database server at
'192.138.151.39:4444' or going through a firewall or a proxy?

By the way, I can only make these work using the httpd-provided with
jConnect, they do not work using JavaServer or appletviewer, any
suggestions?

Hi,

It could be possible that the demo server might have been down when
you tried to connect to it. I will talk to the sys admin to make
sure we auto-boot the sql server.

to use jConnect with an appletviewer:

echo $JAVA_HOME
alder% /opt/java/jdk1.0.2

alder% echo $CLASSPATH
/web1/jdbc/classes:/opt/java/jdk1.0.2/lib/classes.zip:.
alder% $JAVA_HOME/bin/appletviewer alder.html
