Hi!
I'm still having some trouble getting the Open Server Gateway running on
my system! Sql Anywhere 5.5 works fine and I think I set the sql.ini
file correctly but when I try to start it with
start dbos50 versicherung
I always get the same messages written to my logfile:

The sybping also fails producing this error message:
Connection to server 'versicherung'(versicherung, 5000) Failed
Loaded Netlibrary driver 'NLWNSCK'(C:\SYBASE\DLL\NLWNSCK.DLL)
Error string: Error in resolving the hostname - Error is 110011

My sql.ini looks like this:
[versicherung]
master= NLWNSCK,versicherung, 5000
query=NLWNSCK,versicherung, 5000
Did I set up anything wrong?? Where might be the problem?

Thanks, Carsten

Okay, I finally found out what the problem was! I just had to set the
workstation's name in the sql.ini instead of using the database server's
name.
Still I can't connect to the database via Java. I have direct access,
but my applet is still not able to load the driver of jconnect though I
set all environment variables as I was told to in the installation
instructions!
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Carsten
