I was successful to run the ISQL applet provided
in the "sample" directory few days back.

But today when I tried to do the same thing in exactly same way
my browser doesn't load the applet for no reason.
I have done every thing correct like:

my environment:

DISPLAY=:0.0
HELPPATH=/usr/openwin/lib/locale:/usr/openwin/lib/help
HOME=/users/sunlab/ksdamm0
MANPATH=/usr/openwin/share/man:/usr/man
NOSUNVIEW=0
OPENWINHOME=/usr/openwin
PATH=/usr:/usr/local/jdk1.1/bin:/usr/openwin/bin:/usr/openwin/demo:/users/sunlab/raphael/cs655:/bin:/usr/bin:/dev:/usr/ucb/:/usr/local/unsupp/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/local/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin/X11:/usr/sbin:/users/sunlab/ksdamm0/lislin/phase2/jjj18/MOCHA/MOCHA.ZIP:/mnt/cache_local/sybase/10.0:.
SHELL=/bin/csh
TZ=US/Eastern
USER=ksdamm0
XFILESEARCHPATH=/usr/openwin/lib/locale/%L/%T/%N%S:/usr/openwin/lib/%T/%N%S
TERM=xterm
WINDOWID=33554445
LOGNAME=ksdamm0
COLUMNS=80
LINES=53
PWD=/users/sunlab/ksdamm0/pro/jConnect
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/X11R6/lib
JDBC_HOME=/users/sunlab/ksdamm0/pro/jConnect
JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.1
CLASSPATH=/users/sunlab/ksdamm0/pro/jConnect/classes:/usr/local/jdk1.1/lib/classes.zip

and then

I executed

httpd.sh &

and later

java Validate

Connection was successful and in my browser
I am able to load:

http://localhost:8000/index.html

but my browser
wouldn't load the ISQL applet in the URL (which it did perfect
few days back....I am able to run the sql query perfectly then):

http://localhost:8000/sample/gateway.html

what is happening ???? please help me and I need your help very
urgent.

Thanks in advance
kumar dammu

You don't specify the browser that you are using, but if it is
netscape, it is *very very* picky in regards to what CLASSPATH is
set to as well as the ordering of the classes in CLASSPATH.

My best advice to you is to unset CLASSPATH prior to starting
netscape. If this is not possible, then I would put the path to
java_301
which is supplied by netscape at the beginning of CLASSPATH.
