Hi,

I can't run the Isql applet on clients. If I run the applet on clients
with the JDK1.1.1 and jConnect classes all works fine! But on an "zero"
client, I get this error: Applet can't start: class Isql got a security
violation: method verification error

(Client W95, Netscape 3.01 Gold, Server: Windows NT with Website and
Sybase System 11, JDK 1.1.1, jConnect -> all classes in CLASSPATH)

Thank you!

Hi,

I am assuming here that you did not re-compile the Isql.java with jdk
1.1.1 as if you did, this will not work with netscape 3.0.1 as
this browser only supports jdk 102.

To get 0-install client to work,

+ The webserver that you are using must have
%JDBC_HOME%\classes in its alias list.

+ Place the applets you created in %JDBC_HOME%\classes and
use the alias above in your codebase of your applet tag.

+ If your SQL server on SQL Anywhere are not on the same
system as your webserver, you must use the cascade
webserver (started via httpd.bat) for your proxy. Note
you do not have to use this as your primary webserver,
but this must be used as your proxy.

+ If you are using the proxy, I suggest that you change
the proxy entry in gateway.html from 'localhost' to
the actual name of your system.
