IBM Visual Age for Java's (VAJ) forum is full of people unable to import
the TDS package into the Visual Age workbench.

We are able to "import" the JDBC, UTIL and TIMEDIO packages (for JDK
1.1) into the VAJ environment but VAJ just fails to read the TDS class
file!!

Coulds someone tell us what could be happening??

Thanks in advance.

The Tds package has been "Obfuscated". The TDS protocol is not
an Open Standard protocol, but rather a Sybase proprietary technology.

Your Visual Age tool has bugs in what it expects "legal" identifiers
in bytecode to look like -- sorry, the JDK1.0.2
Throwable.printStackTrace() method has similar problems.
