Hi all,

[ reply to Andrew.Schonberger@btal.com.au]

we are very happy with jConnect, and I'm calling a dozen stored procs,
passing parameters in and out, retrieving result sets, etc.

Now here is my first problem: some of the procs have no parameters
(but they return a status value, which I describe as an output parm).

I get the the exception:

No parameters required. Has query been sent?

I tried with both execute() and executeUpdate() of CallableStatement.
After two days of trying, I had to chose the easy way out: I added an
input parameter to the definition of my stored procs, and described it
accordingly in Java. Now I can call these procs without any problem.

Unfortunately, I don't have more details at hand, because we cannot
read this newsgroup from work, and I'm writing this from home. I can
supply code snippets by email.

As an unrelated issue, I have a stored proc containing two consecutive
'print' statements. I can get the first message in my exception
handler, but getNextException() never returns the second one. I also
tried getNextWarning, without success.

This was a bug, it has been fixed and the latest driver should
contain the fix. Download a new copy and try again.
