Hello:

Please help me.
I install the JDK 1.0.2 and jConnect following the document
instructions. I use SQL Anywhere 5.5.0.1 and Windows NT 4.0 server.

The jConnect is installed in d:\jconnect and JDK 1.0.2 is installed in
d:\jdk directory.

The following is my environment variable:

java_home=d:\jdk
jdbc_home=d:\jconnect
classpath=d:\jconnect\classes;d:\jdk\lib\classes.zip

The following is my sql.ini (used by dbos50.exe). I run dbos50, I
don't know whether or not it successfully running, but no any error
messages displaying on screen after running.

[stock]
master=NLWNSCK,172.18.168.33,20098
query=NLWNSCK,172.18.168.33,20098

The following are my httpd.bat and run successfully:

set CLASSPATH=%JDBC_HOME%\classes;%JAVA_HOME%\lib\classes.zip
%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java uk.org.cascade.sybase.http.HTTPServer www.dos

In order to run jConnect sample applet(IsqlApp.class & Validate.class)
under JDK 1.0.2, I modified the source code, recomplie it and no error
found:

import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
import jdbc.sql.*;
import jdbc.math.*;
import jdbc.sybase.utils.Debug;
import jdbc.sybase.jdbc.*;

and change the Class.forName() function as is:

Class.forName("jdbc.sybase.jdbc.SybDriver");

The above is followed by instruction manual. The other things are all
remains unchanged.

When I run the the sample applets (in jConnect sample directory)
Validate.class using

java Validate

I got the following error message:

Sybase jConnect (TM) for JDBC (TM) 2.1 Development and Unsupported
Version

You still have something from your sample programs that has been
compiled with 'import java.sql.*', as indictated by the package
name in this error message. Use the 'java -verbose' command-line
option to see what classes java is loading, make sure they are the
ones which you have modified and re-compiled.
