I have a few questions on jConnect.

1) What is the maximum no of connections via jConnect to
Sybase SQL Server 11.x?
2) what is the maximum no of statements via jConnect?

Apparently, metadata for the database didn't work. But are those
max numbers fixed per the product or configurable? If the latter,
how is it configured?

3) I get an SQLException when making the call
Connection.setReadOnly() as accessor not in meta database
or something like that. Is this function implemented?

4) what is the best way to format datetime returned from the jconnect?
We got back 1997-6-24 hh:mm:ss.ms but like format it as
6/24/97 hh:mm:ss?

Thanks,

There is no specific jConnect limit. This would depend on the
number of connections allowed on the server. The limit of
connections per jConnect program would be based off the amount
of memory available to you.

There is no pre-defined limit. See above

don't understand the question. If you are talking about
DatabaseMetaData, about 1/2 the methods have been implemented.

This is not currently supported

This adheres to the JDBC standard. Keep in mind that JDBC supports a
Timestamp datatype which is basically the same as the Sybase datetime.

the Timestamp class provides a means to convert for a Timestamp to
a String and visa versa.
