I wrote a JAVA CGI program based on jConnect to write data information
into Sybase . The program works well inside firewall, but if I run the
program from our website outside firewall, I get the fail error of
connection to database. Does jConnect support firewall?

Thanks.

jConnect is just building TDS packets. The question is whether your
firewall can be configured to accept inbound TDS packets. I'd speak to
you network administrator. You could also call tecnical support to see
whether they have a listing of firewall vendors who support TDS packet
sniffing.
