I am running an applet with jdk1.0.2, but i get the error message
Gateway connection refused: HTTP/1.0 502 Bad Gateway|Restart Connection
when trying to connect to the SQL server. I am using the imports
jdbc.sql.* and jdbc.sybase.* and the driver jdbc.sybase.jdbc.SybDriver.
However, when i modify my applet to use the imports java.sql,
com.sybase.* and the driver com.sybase.jdbc.SybDriver it works out fine.
Any ideas why

thanks,
Ole

Please refer to the FAQ:

Which browser and version are you using.

Even if you are using jdk102 for your applets, I would suggest
using jdk11 for starting the cascade webserver. there are issues
where jdk102 will not behave well if you are using DNS and there
are not local entries in your hosts file for the system that you
are trying to access.

Does the isql applet that we provide work for you?
