Why the sample applet (IsqlApp) didn't work? It always said something
like 'jdbc.sql.SQLException : An IO Exception was caught from lower
layer ...'. I'm using JDK 1.02, PowerJ, and a Windows NT 4.0 server. Can
you help me? Thank's

Panji, It sounds like you just need to put a try and catch statement in your code, something that java calls Exception Handling. If you have never worked with exception handling, go to http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/exceptions/index.html and read that section carefully.  After a while it will become second nature.  Hope I was helpful.
