I have just upgraded from the June 19 trial version of jConnect to the
July 16 version. When I run my app from within the VisualCafe
environment, things are fine; when I run it from within Navigator 4.01,
it fails with the message '# Security Exception: checkpropsaccess.key'.

The classes on the server are the same as on my local machine; the local
machine has no CLASSPATH set (it uses the jConnect files in via a
VisualCafe project option).

I'd be grateful for any help.

Regards,

Frits

The checkpropsaccess.key check should not be a fatal error -- should
just be a warning which pops up to your JavaConsole. The jConnect
driver does check a few System.properties values (mainly for
debugging purposes), which raises a Security exception under
many Browsers, but this should not cause the applet to stop running.
