When I attempt to run the IsqlApp or Ping, I am forced to include
"-classpath %CLASSPATH%" on my windows 95 machine. The path is set
corectly, because when I provide the CLASSPATH arg. in the java command,
the apps are ok, without the classpath arg, the aps cannot find the
required classes??

Why is this?

It turn out that the java/javac that I was using(shipped with VCPro) was
reading the SC.ini file and resetting my classpath var. This problem has
gone away since I downloaded jdk1.1.3

Thanks

If you installed jConnect in Program Files, then you will most likely
need to add double quotes in your CLASSPATH
