Ok, now I am seriously frustrated. I am having a very strange problem
running any of the sample applications on my win95 pc.

I have jdk1.1, and use the following settings :

echo %JDBC_HOME%
C:\jdbc\sybase\jconnect
echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\VisualCafePro1.1\Java
echo %CLASSPATH%
C:\jdbc\sybase\jconnect\classes;C:\VisualCafePro1.1\Java\lib\classes.zip

then I run a sample from jconnect

C:\jdbc\sybase\jconnect\sample>java Validate
...
...
Can't find class Validate

what is up with this???

Try appending '.' to the CLASSPATH.

set CLASSPATH=".;c:\foo"
