Ok, I got the key but now I find out that I can not use SQL Anywhere
(demo version). Is this true???

You need to run the SA Open Server Gateway for jConnect to talk
to your SQL Anywhere. You can download the gateway from the
SA web pages.

PS.
Hope this is not some sort of Sybase secret... but the NEXT version
of SQL Anywhere is planning to directly support the TDS protocol
(currently they still use a proprietary, non-Sybase network protocol
that is left over from the days before Sybase acquired Watcom's
SQL Anywhere). Once that happens we can all jettison that OSG which
converts TDS to the Watcom protocols and back.
Life will become much more pleasant -- I'm certainly looking forward to
it!
