I have beta version of jconnect 3.0 and sybase sql anywhere 5.0(not
sure)
I am able to make connection to sybase sample database.
But when i try to make connection with the local database (sample data-
-base sample.db) i am not able to make connection.
Problem is host and port number.
i dont know on which port sademo.db runs.
i checked sql.ini file in sybase directory ,there is no entry for
sademo.db .
i dont know where i can get that information?
Hope to get a quick response.

You need to install the openserver gateway (OSG) in order to use
jConnect with SQL Anywhere.

The hostname and port is for the Openserver gateway.
