We've running Sybase Adaptive Server 11.5 on Windows NT 4.0, 6
processors, 256 Mb RAM and 20 Gb on 2 disk arrays. Ocasionally the
server hangs up with 80% of use of the processors, i can´t login to kill
the process which is running and i have to stop the server. In the
errorlog appears:
timeslice -500, current process infected
SQL Server system exception (0xe0000001) generated by a process
exceeding its time slice allotment.
and a lot of lines of pc: xxxxxxxxxx
Do i have to tune cpu grace time or something to avoid this situation?
cpu grace time is on its default.
Thanks.

I think that the number of processors is to many.
