I wrote a simple Java client that uses a simple Entity Bean deployed at
Jaguar (last version).
When the client tries to lookup the Entity Bean Home interface in the
initial context I get a CORBA exception - "The delegate has not been
set !".

What can be the problem ?

This is a bug in our support for Java2 clients. Switch to Java1 if you can.
The fix is complete and the EBF is pending.

Dave when can we expect to get this fix released?

Its been fixed in engineering, checked in, and should be in the next EBF.
Only support knows the actual date, but I would say in a matter of weeks.
