Hi,

I have a table of 6 checkboxes:

gym
pool table
golf course
swimming pool
solarium
sauna

Here' the question:
if someone wants to find a property that has a gym and pool table, would
I have to create a string that tested if a checkbox was ticked or not
and if so add to a string that would be passed through a dw to return
properties that have a gym and pool table?
Or is it more complex or simpler than this?

With a datawindow, use a service class and then it's simple PowerScript code
on the server. You have access to the datastore and the fields to do
whatever is necessary.

Also do keep in mind there is an existing bug with checkboxes not passing
values back so I'd suggest you use Yes/No radio buttons instead.

Larry,

I've been looking at this further this afternoon and radio buttons just wouldn't
work. I have to use check boxes for this. So my question now is how does my web
datawindow take the checkbox values as page parameters? So say I have three
boxes ticked:

gym
sauna
tennis court

Would my form code would look something like this?:

<FORM action="facilities_return.htm?y=gym&x=sauna&z=tennis">

Or am I completely talking out of my butt?

Larry,

The reason why I wanted to to use checkboxes was that anyone could uncheck a box
if they changed their mind, uisng radio buttons won't really allow me to do
that.
When you say that there is a bug is this in PowerSite/Datawindow Builder itself
or can I get round it by hardcoding in HTML?
