Is %JAGUAR% and the %PATH% correct? Looks like you found an old copy of the
ORB.

Don't think so. I've insalled the 3.0.1 maintenace ORB at exactly same location
as the 3.0 ORB.

This is how my env. looks like:
%Jaguar% = C:\Program Files\EAS\Jaguar CTS 3.0
%Path% = C:\Program Files\EAS\Adaptive Server Anywhere 6.0\win32;
C:\Program Files\EAS\PowerDynamo\win32;
C:\Program Files\EAS\Shared\PowerBuilder;
C:\Program Files\EAS\InfoMaker 7.0\tutorial;
C:\Program Files\EAS\Jaguar CTS 3.0\dll;
C:\Program Files\EAS\Jaguar CTS 3.0\client\dll;
C:\Program Files\EAS\Shared\Sun\JDK118\bin;
C:\Program Files\EAS\Shared\Sun\jdk117\bin;

I would tighten up your CLASSPATH just to be sure. That error is telling me
Jag loaded the old Java ORB. I would try removing the PB directories from
the CLASSPATH.

That didn't work either. I've I've also tried to remove the whole EAS
installation, re-installed 3.0 and the install 3.0.1. I ended up with the same
result...

Grrrrr. Not sure where else to look, but there is no doubt that it is
finding and loading the wrong ORB. Can you start Jag in verbose mode. It
should then show class loading.

This is probably a silly Q but how do I start Jag in verbose mode?

Set the property

com.sybase.jaguar.server.jvm.verbose=true

In the server's All Properties and restart. Then watch the log go haywire

To be sure its not an error on my machine, I've reinstalled a new clean machine
with NT and used the default path when installed EAS 3.0 and the 3.01 ie
c:\program files\sybase\jaguar cts 3.0\
Still same problem.

Find the srv.log attached.

I tried to rename the org\omg\corba\orb.class and now it works fine as far as I
can see, at least the jag starts up and I can't spot any error messages in the
srv.log.

Am I supposed to delete the org\omg\corba\orb.class?
Is there something in the upgrade procedure that went wrong?

Honestly, it doesn´t feel to comfortable to use this installation...

/Darko

Ps Thanx Dave for all help Ds
