What limitations imposes this edition? I read in an earlier posting
something about 10 connections
per listener. How this fact is translated in user concurrently accessing
a Jaguar server.

You are correct, 10 concurrent connections per listener.

Could you please specify how this limit affects the number of users accessing

Small Business Edition limits you to 10 connection to the Jaguar server.
Thats 10 total sockets. This may be more or less than 10 actual clients.
That depends on alot of factors.

Our Sybase regional support people speaking with a Sybase technical guy in
France about the SB edition got the impression that we should forget SBE for
internet apps! So what's the purpose of the edition (small intranet,
extranets);

Could you please provide me some hints on where or how to find the factors
affecting the load allowed. Do you propose to simulate the load internally;

Thank you in advance
Aggelos

The idea is for departmental sized internal only applications.

OK Dave, sorry for insisting on the matter so much but we cannot get the desired
amount of expertise and advice from our local Sybase reps so ...

Thanks again, we appreciate your patience

You mean there is no way to estimate how many actual clients will be allowed
to access the services on Jaguar? Any guide on how we can model the factors
you mention? Is there a proposed method to simulate it in our developer
edition (I think it has the same limitation)?

Thank in advance
Aggelos
