Hi,

yesterday I've created our first EJB following the instructions for the
CalculatorClient applet.

Today my colleage installed this PowerJ project on his computer and
configured his workspace.
The JagServer is running on my machine.
From within the PowerJ IDE he can reach the server by hitting the 'Test
connection button'.
At Applet runtime the debuglog indicates that he's connected, but when
it comes to invoking the call to the EJB method (calculate) nothing
happens (null pointer exception). It looks like our EJB has not been
instantiated.

The result is that he can never connect (not even from the IDE) to the
remote Jaguar server.
After restarting PowerJ he can test again but - same results.

Can anybody help us?

Regards
Thorsten

Did he bind the remote interface to the InitialConext? Go to the property
sheet for the remote interface.

Thanks,
with binding the remote interface to the InitialContext it works fine ;-)

The use of the default 'null' component came from just copying the workspace
to my pc.

By the way, we did use the IP to address the jaguar server.
