We have been using PB for several years. We just migrated to PB7. When
we are in the library painter and attempt to open an object we get blown
out of PB. Doesn't happen all the time but about 60%. Or if your working
on an object and save you cross your fingers that you don't get blown
out , kind of reminds me of PB2.0, 3.0.

We are using NT, I have 256 mb ram, Pentium 3 , I am puzzled and
concerned.

Bill

What build of PB are you using. I know people hate to hear it, but
sometimes upgrading takes care of things like this. I've been running 7021
for months and it is pretty stable, IMO.

You may also be running into layout problems. Can you open objects of one
type (say datawindows) but not other types (say windows)? If so, delete key
at HKLM/Software/Sybase/PowerBuilder/7.0/Layout.

Perhaps your library object is corrupted. This has happened to me before
and elicits the symptoms you're describing. I think I recollect doing a
full rebuild and perhaps exporting the library object and then reimporting
it.
