Is there an easy way to force the entry of text columns to uppercase

You cannot force upper case during input, i.e., the HTML DW does not support
edit styles. The format might change everything to Upper case when you tab
of. If it does not you need to capture the change and use JavaScript to
format to upper case OR loop through your data on the server after the
context is applied and before the action.

You can also use a service-class and the updatestart event to accomplish
this.
