Hi,

I have PB nvo component which retrieves more than one rows. I would
to retrieve the component and use the return result to populate an
html List box.

I would appreciate if someone could advise or forward a sample code and
procedures to do the same

THanks

You want to return the resultset to the web server and process in ASP or PD?

Here is a PD example.

<!--SCRIPT

jagObj = java.CreateComponent("picture/u_nv_picture", "iiop://jones:9000",
"jagadmin", "***");

rs = jagObj.uf_displayrecord( sz_by, sz_where ) ;

import ~/system/utils/javaqry.ssc;

// wrap up the Tabular ResultSet to mimic a Dynamo query object
dynQuery = new JavaQuery( rs );

columns = dynQuery.GetColumnCount();

document.writeln( "There are " + columns + " columns" );

while( dynQuery.MoveNext() ) {
for( j = 1; j <= columns; j++ )
{
value = dynQuery.GetValue(j);
document.writeln( value );
}
}

What you do is create a datawindow that contains a dddw field. Then write
some code in an NVO that is deployed to Jaguar as a component. That code
should:

1) Take the resultset and create a datastore with the CreateForm function
datastore_variable.CreateFrom(resultset_variable)

2) Get the handle to the child datawindow with the GetChild function
dw_1.GetChild("columnname",datawindowchild_variable)

3) Sharedata with the datastore created with the CreateFrom function to the
datawindow child.

4) Do a dw_1.describe("DataWindow.Data.HTML")
