I'm trying to test an EJB on Jaguar 3.5 with the attached CheckinClient1.java
application just to see if I get a row back from my test bean. After compiling it
I try to run it by typing the usual java CheckinClient1 and get the error message
Error opening registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment'.

From what I've read about BEAs WebLogic to get a client to run you have to
type in a few parameters on the command line like this:
java -Djava.naming.factory.initial=
        weblogic.jndi.TengahInitialContextFactory
        -Djava.naming.provider.url=
        t3://localhost:7001
        com.wiley.compBooks.roman.session.count.CountClient

Is there a special command line syntax like this to get the client
to run in Jaguar?

Thanks
Steve

Looks to me like your JRE isnt installed right.  Can you run other Java applications?  The BEA thing where they feed in member variables to the client isnt really a BEA vs Sybase thing.  They're just using a very generic application that can read member variables from the java -D command line.

Something is wrong with your JRE install.  Seems your VM cant find its registry entries?
