Hi,
This may be the wrong place to pose this question but here it goes
anyway.

How do we make a button on a HTML page the default button so that
when the user hits the "Enter" key, it simulates a click on the default
button. Also does this work with Netscape and I.E ? What if we have
multiple buttons, how do we make a particular button the default button
?

The button has to be within the scope of a <form></form> tag, and have a
type of SUBMIT.

Agree with Roy, and if you have multiple submit buttons, what I have seen is
the first one defined is the default, unless you force the issue. That can
be done with Javascript like so:
<!--Script
...
document.writeln('</FORM>');

document.writeln('\n<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">');
document.writeln("<\!\-\-");
document.writeln('document.formname.fieldname.focus();');
document.writeln("//\-\-\>");
document.writeln('</SCRIPT>\n');
-->
