Hello there.

Has anyone been able to access jaguar from Delphi ?
I have been looking in the Delphi docs, and there are some "Units" (pascal packages) that are intended to access a CORBA server, but I had no success in using it.
A code example will be a lot useful.

I know that this can be done using COM, and I suppose that it will be very easy, but I would like to do it using the delphi's corba support, if possible.  Is Delphi really corba compliant? (whatever it means)

Any help will be appreciated.

Delphi uses DII ( Dynamic Invocatio Interface ) which is not currently
supported by Jaguar due to inherent performance issues.

Hi

I thought that the invocation type makes no difference to the server
component. And it cannot tell weather its methods were invoked statically or
dynamically. Am I wrong?

Some clients that use DII issue calls to the CORBA interface repository to
obtain run-time type information. This we do not currently support. The
Jaguar server cannot tell if a request is issued using DII or stubs, but
that doesn't help if the DII-based client issues 'get_interface' calls.

The server must have a Interface Repository the DII client can interrogate.
We dont.
