Hi,
I have a small java-applett-application (PowerJ) which uses a EAS 3.0
connection cache component (ODBC Connection to DB2). If I try this from
the Sun Interpreter Console all is working fine, but while using IE 5.0
it fires following security exception:

Rebuild a release version. Its the debugger trying to write ot a socket.
The release build wont do this.

Sorry Dave this didn't work. After rebuild as release version (both client
and EAS-Component) I still have the same exception.

The exception is the same SecurityException accessing port 9000 till 9002 on
localhost. After release rebuild the debugger is no more trying to connect to
port 7777, but following exception is coming up many times:

Use an http://localhost:8080/... URL. IE doesn't want an applet loaded
from the file-system to connect to a server on a different host. Or
you could temporarily disable the IE security checking for outgoing
connections.
