Hello,
we just installed Jaguar3.5 (fresh from CD, no EBFs) on Solaris.
The same components that works nicely on NT4.0 Jaguar3.0, would crash
the client application when put to Jaguar3.5 on Solaris. The
GetFullState() and SetFullState() would only work if there is one row of
data returning. When multiple rows are returning, GetFullState()
returns the number of rows( i.e. 890), but SetFullState() won't do
anything. We can't see even single row of data displayed. And client
application would eventually crashed with "unreferenced mem address
xxxx". Is it network problem? or is it a known bug? Any comments
would be appreciated. thanx.

What type of component? There's an issue with PB on Solaris (works on NT) -
the CR# is 215142 - but what I am seeing is that the component is
deactivates when the SetFullState is invoked. No errors in the server log,
but nothing is executed after the setFullState call - I did not run into
the client crash in this scenario though.

Hello,
Its PB component. There are no error in the Server log in my case too.
Retrieve() returns 890 for number of rows. The client crash is now known to be
caused by another bug. But why if its only one row of data, it works fine? The
PB I am using is 3.0 with EBF(latest from Sybase.com) on NT4, would this be the
cause? If so, how do I update PB so that it works with both NT Jaguar3.0, and
Sun Solaris Jaguar3.5? Is there a PB3.5 and Jaguar3.5 for NT available?
thanx.
