We have written an application using VB COM objects on the Microsoft
platform, but folks within the company want to show how easily the
same app can be written using EAServer. The question is, then, how
can the VB COM component be imported into Jaguar successfully. All I
have is a dll and a set of .cls files for the COM object and I am
unsure how to import this component into Jaguar (if it is possible at
all).

There is a good article on SDN that covers this.

If you are trying to show how easy you can write the same application use
EAServer I would write your server side component in Java or PowerBuilder.
The same front end can be modified easily to call Jaguar to get business
objects.

If you simply import a ActiveX COM component you will not leverage all the
features of Jaguar.

Dean, thanks. After reading the article, I was able to import our
ActiveX into Jaguar.
