Hi,

I'm using a CORBA component, and need to pick up some component properties I
have set in the Jaguar Manager.

I thought they would be available via the System.getProperty(key); call, but
that does not seem to be the case.

I've also tried java.security.Security.getProperty(key), with no more luck.

I've tried attaching the properties to both the package and the component.

Do I have to pick a CTS component?

If anyone can help that would be great.

Make an intercomponent call to Jaguar/Repository. Here is an example:

Repository rep = RepositoryHelper.narrow(orb.string_to_object
("Jaguar/Repository"));
String[] roots = new String[0];
Property[] values = rep.lookup("Component","Recovery/RepositoryBackup");

int size = values.length;
for(int i = 0; i < size; i++)
{

if(values[i].name.equals("com.sybase.jaguar.component.wait"))
_wait = Integer.parseInt(values[i].value);
if(values[i].name.equals("com.sybase.jaguar.component.filename"))
_filename = values[i].value;
if(values[i].name.equals("com.sybase.jaguar.component.entities"))
_entities = values[i].value;
}
