Hi,

I am working with EAS, Power Dynamo and PowerBuilder components. I am
creating customized version of the HTMLDW to generate web pages.

The initial deployment of the component seems to deploy and generate
satisfactorily.

When I add a function or change a function signature, re-deploy, and
regenerate stubs, the IDL listed in the Jag Manager appears to be updated
but the component does not seem to be creating properly through the HTML
client.

I get an error on method invocation. I have verified the "Case" because the
script is case sensitive.

Is there something I am missing in deployment?

ServerSide script below..

TIA,
Russ R.

Server-Side script looks like this:
========================
var ls_component = "pkgname/nv_object"
var ls_jagserver = "iiop://my_jagserver:9000"
var ls_login = "jagadmin"
var ls_pwd = ""
var ls_ret = ""

dw = java.CreateComponent( ls_component, ls_jagserver, "jagadmin", "" );
if ( dw == null)
{
document.WriteLn("Error Message: " + site.GetErrorInfo() + "<BR>");
}

ls_ret = dw.membersearch();
document.Write( ls_ret );
===========================
I'm using EAStudio 3.5.1.
PB Build 8017
3.5.0.35002 GA

What's the error? I've experienced that it is usually necessary to reboot
the server after doing this. Did the component EVER work?

You need to restart the web server if you add a method to a server object.

Just to clarify the 3.5.0.35002 GA is the PowerDynamo version.

Thanks,
Russ R
