I am testing my pws03 on Solaris, I got an error message:

Unable to initialize the VM (check that the PATH and CLASSPATH environment
variables are set correctly) Warning: undefined variable
component_instance.requestlogon[requestlogon] near line 228

I checked my CLASSPATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH, they all include the path to
libjava.so.

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

I have encountered this myself in the past and it was due to a hosed set
of symbolic links in the java directory. From a PD script, also make
sure you are getting the correct values for CLASSPATH and
LD_LIBRARY_PATH
