We are just starting our first web project using EAServer 3.5 and
PowerDynamo and have to
make some important design decisions:

1.) Comparing PB and Java-Components without DB-Connections - which ones
perform better ?
2.) String Operations - better performance in PB or Java ?
3.) Which ones - Java or PB - are instantiated more quickly ?
4.) Is there any description or specification of blobs you get from a
datawindow ?

I hope there are some performance gurus out there

I had a problem in which a Java component had to loop about 12000 iterations
to build an HTML table. This was code I inherited when I came to this job.
This loop took about 5 minutes. I then translated it to PB to see if there
would be any difference. There was not. I did not try C++ though which is
another option.

Anyway, I converted the code to an HTMLDW and "paged" through the rows. The
client is happy.
