Thanks, but I only have 2 developers working with this server.
Are connectoserver calls that are not getting destroyed between connections?

Thanks guys.

First, I noticed that my disconnectfromserver was not executing.

My components are not currently statefull, but I will soon need to has a
statefull component.
Second, this call to completework, how is this done from PB to a java class.

Alan,

you can call it at the end of transaction, or the business logic.

We are viewing IIOP session counts via Jag Manager, running a PB app with
DisconnectServer() in the pfc_close event of app manager. Have noticed
that:

1) each ConnectToServer() uses 2 sessions -- WHY?
2) closing app from an EXE decrements the session count (by 2)
OK.
3 closing app from a PB interactive RUN does not decrement the
session count! WHY NOT?
4) Jag Manager shows the max sessions far more than 10
sometimes... WHAT'S BEING COUNTED?
5) As soon as the session count hits 10, can make no more new
connections -- thought the developer version allowed 4 users, this seems
like we can do 4 users plus Jag Manager !!!

P.S. the ConnectToServer returns 57 -- doesn't seem to be documented
anywhere, would be nice to have in HELP!

TIA...

Alan,

that may be the problem. are you using stateful components and and not
releasing the objects when the client is complete. This can be done by
calling completework within the component.

The client ORB can cache sockets. This must be whats happening. Hmmmmm,
however why are they leaking is the question. I would open a case with
support. Something is not right.

Developer version session limit is 10. If you need more sessions, you need
to upgrade to Advanced Edition.
