Hi,
We have been doing HTML DW pages w/ calls to components on a Jaguar
server using the java.CreateComponent command. After successfully deploying
the page through the ASP Deployment controller and placing the pages in IIS,
I encounter the error:'java' is undefined when I browse the page using
IE4.0. I have also observed that when I open the PS created ObjMod.js, it
says that there is a syntax error on line 1. Also the error 'java' is
undefined refers to the line where I call the jaguar component
(java.CreateComponent). These same pages worked well when deployed in
PowerDynamo. Do I need to configure something w/ my IIS, copy addt'l files,
register something or add something to my code? I'm not even sure if
Powersite pages can really be used in conjunction with a Jaguar Transaction
Server and IIS Web Server. Thanks for your help in advance.

In ASP you need to use the ActiveX component. We have examples on our site,
but they do not use PowerSite.

java.CreateComponent is a Dynamo 'thing' so it won't deploy to ASP. When using
PowerSite to deploy to either Dynamo or ASP you typically want to stick with the
PowerSite Object Model calls which the objmod.ssc/objmod.js then 'translate'
into either Dynamo or ASP syntax when you deploy.

Thanks Jim. When you said that I have to 'translate', does that mean I have
to modify the generated ASP file to use a call command that ASP understands?
If that is so, what command should I use instead of java.CreateComponent?

I think Dean's examples will cover this, but if not please repost.
